Reno Omokri reacts to Gov. Ortoms defection from APC to PDP
Author, lawyer and former aide to ex president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has reacted to the desertion of Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom from the All Progressive People’s Congress (APC) to the opposition party, People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
DLB calls to mind that Gov. Ortom on Wednesday announced his departure from the All Progressive People’s Party during a meeting with the elected local government chairmen and councillors which was held at his state’s government house in Markurdi, Benue State.
This is coming less than 24 hours after 16 senators and 36 representatives had defected to the People’s Democratic Party from the ruling All Progressive Peoples Congress Political Party.
Reacting to Gov. Ortom’s move, Reno Omokri took to his Twitter page to congratulate him and also throw a subtle jab at the ruling party (APC), describing them as a party of sorrow, tears and blood.
Reno also went on to celebrate, according to him, everyone is coming to their senses.
Taking to the popular platform, he wrote ” I congratulate Benue State Governor, Sam Ortom, for coming to his senses and leaving @OfficialAPCNg, the party of sorrow , tears & blood, for @OfficialPDP -Nig, the party of joy, laughter and prosperity . No Benue son should remain in a party that does nothing when herdsmen kill you!”
“Let me, on behalf of former President @GEJonathan, welcome Benue and her people back to the PDP. We will protect and progress you . No more will you observe mass burials in Benue. With the PDP, you will observe mass movement from poverty to prosperity and from sadness to gladness”
“Yesterday it was 16 Senators and 36 Representativces, today it is Governor San Ortom of Benue. At this rate, are we sure that Aisha Buhari will not decamp from the other room? Everyone is coming to their senses. The body language has turned to body odour.”
