‘Be glad you are not in jail’ – Presidency warns Atiku Abubakar
The special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari has asked Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to be glad that he is not rotting in jail.
Speaking via her Twitter handle, Lauretta Onochie said that she saw a photo of the presidential candidate of the Peoples’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar in Abuja, with some weird inscriptions on it.
Despite not mentioning what these etchings were, she warned that the former vice president who lost the 2019 presidential election to President Buhari counsel himself or be tried for treason.
Further speaking, she advised Atiku to continue in his legal path instead of trying to stir up mischief.
“When you lose an election, you either congratulate the victor or you challenge the election results in court. After foot-dragging,@atiku’s has now managed to go to court. It’s in the best interest of the nation that he continues in that legal path instead of stirring mischief.
I just returned to Abuja and saw @atiku’s photos with some weird inscriptions For one who is lucky to be walking free, whatever he is planning, he shouldnt forget that we have a President in place Nigerians will insist that treason be treated as treason. He should counsel himself” she wrote
